Well I say the plural am referring more specifically to the singular sense i.e. a relative of mine. What is it with the psycho women they have the compulsive need to cause turmoil and emotion every where they go.....
Times like this am glad I'm a lad and single minded, blokes just don't think of half the shit a woman does. I am not insulting all women here, just the Psychotic ones with a pathological need to cause destruction......
Meh she'll be gone by tomorrow!

A word/phrase I hate with a passion, however it is a phrase commonly still used today. I can imagine if your an individual of black or mixed race heritage, the last few days will have been exceptionally poignant moment for you with the Obama victory.
However today I was in uni discussion a moment in my life which affected me greatly something that made a difference. It was a poem I read when I did GCSE English....I feel it is more relevant now with the events happening in America than it has ever been.
Half-Caste
Excuse me
standing on one leg
I’m half-caste.
Explain yuself
wha yu mean
when yu say half-caste
yu mean when Picasso

is a half-caste canvas?
explain yuself
wha yu mean
when yu say half-caste
yu mean when light an shadow

is a half-caste weather?
well in dat case

half-caste till dem overcast
so spiteful dem don’t want de sun pass

explain yuself
wha yu mean
when yu say half-caste
yu mean tchaikovsky

an mix a black key
wid a white key
is a half-caste symphony?
Explain yuself
wha yu mean
Ah listening to yu wid de keen
half of mih ear
Ah looking at yu wid de keen
half of mih eye
an when I’m introduced to yu
I’m sure you’ll understand
why I offer yu half-a-hand
an when I sleep at night
I close half-a-eye
consequently when I dream
I dream half-a-dream
an when moon begin to glow
I half-caste human being

an de whole of yu ear
an de whole of yu mind.
an I will tell yu
de other half
of my story.
By John Agard
This is a poem sad as it is that changed my view on things and I feel with the race issue coming into play about Obama's heritage and the presidency it is exceptionally relevant. For a second just think about the message it's trying to convey,

But no they take a step back.....
Proposition 8, it was a state wide ballot in California to create an amendment to the state constitution which would nullify the right to marriage for same sex couples. Whilst I personally will always sit on the fence when it comes to myself as individual getting married (the likelihood is it's never gonna happen for me), I just don't understand wtf people's problem is with it. Marriage doesn't directly affect anyone be it between same sex or opposite sex couples. Yet again religion over in the states gets involved in politics creating a fucked up vacuum, why is it always the religious right that manages to influence policy within the states. You have the GOP which is essentially Christian fundamentalists against abortion and anything which promotes sexual freedom, ffs the VP choice refers to homosexuality as a "lifestyle choice". Now this party has been hammered in the recent election, I think it will only be a matter of time before America wakes up even more, its been a long time coming admittedly but Rome wasn't built in a day and change won't happen overnight.
There is hope still there, as it stands lawsuits (2 at the present time) have been launched to declare the constitutional amendment void as it requires legislative process with a 2/3 majority. Since this didn't happen it will likely delay the effects Proposition 8.....I expect when eventually challenged the supreme court will likely overrule the vote, since it isn't representative of the 2/3 majority needed to make an amendment it can be argued that it is unevenly split...so it's likely in my educated opinion the California state supreme court will overrule the ballot and maintain the status quo, where the constitution defines marriage as between man and woman but was struck down by the state supreme court.
If it carries on this may end up in the US supreme court in Washington....if that happens and they find in favour of the opponents of Proposition 8, that would effectively legalise same sex marriage nationwide and I can just vision now how congress would react to that and the religious right. There is no way in hell an amendment would ever pass through congress to change the constitution to define marriage between man and woman......2/3 majority would be needed and also the support of the president.....given Obama is a gay rights champion just not a supporter of gay marriage (personally), it would just be vetoed. No democrat favours an amendment to the constitution which would infringe the rights of homosexual individuals, and given they control all of congress and also the presidency.....no chance!
However I do sincerely expect there to be fun and games played by the religious right, I never understand though how the left are more tolerant and take the laissez faire approach, let everything be even if they may not necessarily agree with it?
I am happy to say we live in a country which is largely secular and isn't really influenced by religion, over here you would never see the abortion issue be used as a political tool for tactical votes nor would issues of civil rights and equality be used as a political platform. I am thankful we are a considerably better adjusted nation than areas of America, I suppose we have the advantage of being influenced by Scandinavia which is probably the most liberal and open minded part of Europe there is......
Even though I don't live there....one day I hope America really does become more open minded and embrace some European ideals.

Well it's happened just like I had been saying to some people many months ago a Democrat would get to the Whitehouse! I said around 18 months ago it would be a Democrat leading Capitol Hill. I said either would be a first.....a first woman president or a first black president and lo and behold I were right.
This folks is monumental, this is the Kennedy moment of our era, I say this now not because a black man is now the leader of the free world, but because America is finally changing, overcoming it's prejudices and actually electing a man who will make a difference. What you should see happening in the coming hours, weeks and days is leaders the world over going out of their way to congratulate the President-Elect, most will try to network with him and develop and ongoing relationship which has often soured under the Bush administration.
As a result of Obama's election, overnight worldwide opinion of America will change. Suddenly countries which were frosty and cold towards America will soften their stance and offer an open hand toward the new president, leaders will view America as a changed country, a country that has finally began to embrace global ideals of the world, a country that has finally began to to shine as the true beacon of the land of the free, yeah one man can really make that much of a difference.
So my friends, change has finally come and as is always the case it usually starts there in the states....when they change so do we so expect come 2010 here in blighty we should see some form of new government.....in what colour even I can't predict!
